For explorations, take the cable car up to Monte and the Palace Gardens, from where you can descend in a spectacular way on a traditional wicker basket sledge.
To relax, the Fajã dos Padres awaits you just outside Funchal. Take the breath-taking cable car ride down the cliff to the small organic farm, where you can relax by the sea and enjoy the fresh produce from the farm.
