Experience the beautiful scenery and the great outdoors of the Azores with hikes on volcanic grounds, cycling through UNESCO listed vineyards, canyoning in the rugged landscape and meeting some of the Azores marine residents close by.

Landbased Outdoor Adventures - Hiking and Cycling
You will have some time on São Miguel to explore the beautiful Sete Cidades lakes and the impressive geothermal area around Furnas in your own pace and set off along one of the many hiking and walking trails tailored to every level. We will also organize a guided walking tour for you on the island of Faial, where you will have the option to venture off from Horta or explore the stunning collapsed caldeira in the center of the island.
A guided cycling tour will take you around the island of Pico, discover the UNESCO listed vineyards where locals have been cultivating grapes on volcanic rock over centuries. Enjoy the varied landscape and taste some of the delicious wines after your efforts.
Waterbased Outdoor Adventures - Whale Watching on Pico
The waters around the Azores count 24 different whale and dolphin species of which you can encounter many of them throughout the whole year. Pico island has a long whaling history and the historic knowledge of spotting whales is now used during the whale watching tours, so you are almot 100% guaranteed to meet whales and dolphins on your tour. An unforgetable experience to get up close to the gentle giants of the sea.
Local Experiences - Hot Springs and Pico Wine
No visit to the Azores would be complete without taking a dip in the thermal hot pools. Relax in the iron-yellow waters at the Terra Nostra baths in Furnas, soak in the hot pools in the lush green scenery of Caldeira Velha or visit the Ferraria sea bath in the Northwest of São Miguel.
Grape cultivation has a long history on the island of Pico and locals have perfected their unique cultivation process of growing juicy grapes on bare black volcanic basalt. This technique has rewarded UNESCO status to the Pico vineyards and the results are high quality wines and we invite you to taste some of these unique wines while visiting a local winery.
Local Adventures - Discover Faial by off-road Jeep
Discover the lush and varied scenery of Faial on an adventure jeep tour, taking you to the collapsed caldeira in the center of the island and to the Capelinhos volcano on the Western side of Faial, where a submarine eruption added new land to the island over the course of two years in 1957/58. Visit the Capelinhos Interpretation Center and venture off on the young volcanic ground.
